New Airport Mango

The mango on the table was special, not bcs of its species but bcs of the memory it carried along... not done anything like it ... was up a mango tree 1am midnight just outside of the new bangalore airport, am glad that even my generation can call bangalore garden city after all...

It was a rainy night and i had just returned after a battle with the rains, it was a sunday ... another weekend rain to which johnny said 'rain rain go away', got a unexpected guest, a friend on a rainy day ... After settling the purpose of the visit .. we were about to depart .. when our discussions turned around the vip who was leaving the country for a year, not in search of new horizons but dispatched to an onsite location by his company for a year... sometimes human bonds are stronger than fevicol...he had been my close friend for over 8 years now ... and this was his all time dream... finally true

we decided to wave him goodbye at the airport all of a sudden... this meant another battle with the rains ... the visit however was not that bad, driving through the 6 lane road in the night... where vehicles zoomed past without hazzle all these made me dazzle ... the new airport was something ... built like a show piece... roads leading to the airport were decorated with serial lights on the meridian ... something that happens only at festive occasions in bangalore .. the circles on the roads resembled an real garden city, these had lights on them too...

The airport itself was beautiful with well planned visitor traffic and overall good engineering work. Seeing those lovely planes from lufthansa to air-france standing in rows reminded me of my best time in school. Is the new bangalore airport only about engineering and aircraft traffic... u just need to peek at the mango on my table :)
